卡格－埃勒特 (Sigfrid Karg-Elert, 1877-1933)，德國後期浪漫樂派作曲家，創作風格具強烈浪漫色彩，且融入部分現代音列技法。他憑著傑出的和聲理論，以簡單的素材創造出極富演奏技巧性與音樂性的作品。
他的作品主要以簧風琴和管風琴著稱。這首《降B大調長笛奏鳴曲，作品121》不論音樂風格或語法，都顯露出長笛這項樂器「歌唱」的特性，以及卡格－埃勒特受管風琴聲響之影響。
本文分為五章來分析卡格－埃勒特的《降B大調長笛奏鳴曲，作品121》。第一章緒論闡述研究之動機以及範圍與方法；第二章則介紹作曲家生平，並進一步依作曲家所受時代背景之影響，探討其創作手法與風格；第三章為作品分析，先簡略介紹作品背景，再依序探討各樂章素材使用、動機與調性之發展；第四章為詮釋探討，除了依照樂譜上所標示出的術語，內文更具體敘述吹奏技巧；第五章為結語，乃依照筆者研究作曲家生平與時代背景，並經由分析作品之後，作一統整與總結。

Sigfrid Karg-Elert (1877-1933), a German late romantic composer, whose compositional style contained a very considerate handling of romantic tone color and quite often filled with twelve-tone technique. Base on his outstanding harmonic theory, he often used a simple music element to developed as a skillful and musical master works.
He is best-known for his numerous compositions for organ and harmonium. This Sonata in Bb major for flute Op.121 shows the "singing" significance of the flute and notable influence from his organ music.
This thesis contains five chapters. The first chapter covered the motive and method of this research. In the second chapter, the composer’s biography, compositional style, and technique were presented. The third chapter was discussed about this specific composition analysis includes the background, use of elements, motive, and tonal development of each movement. The fourth chapter focused on the interpretation according to the musical terms on the score and performance techniques. In the last chapter presented the final discussion and conclusion about entire work.
