The lost things at “lost-and-find place” lead us into exploring the meaning of “things” in the culture of consumption. From the imagery of desires, researcher found a deeper issue in learning and education, and then we can trace the meaning of the life existence.
In this study, the meaning of the “lost and find” creation series: “find” the fun and meaning of learning from “lost”, which was elaborated in chapter one - introduction. The origin of creation was from the impression of the city elementary schools’ culture of consumption, and then the diverse issues of the values, learning and education was explored. The “lost” phenomenon was analyzed and induced on the aspects of art, culture of consumption and education in chapter two – literary review. Creation concepts and skills were analyzed in chapter three – creation analysis. The pieces was analyzed and illustrated one by one in chapter four – creation interpretation. There are six series which include “splendid symbols”, series one: “fast food learning style”, series two: “the meaning of learning”, “the new format”, “text books as battle fields”, “lost and find”, “I want” etc. The analysis and comparison of related pieces, the links between creation and life experience, the artistic concepts of using material and the metaphors of the pieces, format were concluded in chapter five – conclusion, in the meantime, offering the suggestions after inspecting the results of creation for further study.
After the creation and thesis, researcher clarified and built self artistic value completely, besides, the instruction and reflection was preceded by artistic creation to confirm the natures and goals of education, hence, researcher can be more competent for teaching.
