謝爾蓋．謝爾蓋耶維奇．普羅科菲夫（Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev, 1891- 1953），為二十世紀俄羅斯最具代表性的音樂家之一。他的作品除了呈現出當時社會外，又融合了其自身的叛逆與獨特的個性，造就出許多傑出的作品。

舞劇音樂《羅密歐與茱麗葉》是普羅科菲夫於1934至1935年所寫，其以眾所皆知的英國莎士比亞早期悲劇文學作品「羅密歐與茱麗葉」為題材所創作，但因當時社會因素，舞劇延遲至1938年方才首演，因此普氏先將全劇五十二首樂曲挑選出十首，重新排列後改編至鋼琴曲並於1937年首演，名為《十首鋼琴小品選自羅密歐與茱麗葉》作品七十五（Ten Pieces for Piano from the ballet “Romeo and Juliet”, Op. 75）。本作品完整展現出普羅科菲夫特有的鋼琴創作手法，並且貼切舞劇劇情，因此也成為普氏晚期的鋼琴代表作之一。

本篇詮釋報告將藉由普羅科菲夫《十首鋼琴小品選自羅密歐與茱麗葉》作品七十五作為研究對象，期待藉由普羅科菲夫的生平、鋼琴音樂創作風格及十首樂曲的背景與分析等，讓演奏者從中尋求更加合宜的詮釋。

Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev (1891-1953) is one of greatly significant musicians of Russian’s musical history in 20th century. His works not only reflect the contemporary society during his time, but also combined his distinguish personality, presented these two great traits in his music and composed plenty of outstanding pieces.

《Romeo and Juliet》, the ballet music, which the story was based on the Shakespeare’s tragic literature《Romeo and Juliet》, was composed by Prokofiev during 1934-1935. Originally the work was for orchestra. However, because of the social situation, it wasn’t performed in public until 1938. Prokofiev chose ten selections from the original composition, rearranged it for the piano suite and had first performance in 1937. The work shows lots of particular techniques that were seen frequently of Prokofiev’s piano works. Therefore, the music was totally matched with the content of the drama. Undoubtedly the work is one of the masterpieces of Prokofiev’s piano works in his late period.

The project focuses on the research of the suite《Ten Pieces for Piano from the ballet “Romeo and Juliet” , Op. 75》, discussing the life of Prokofiev, the musical style of his piano composition and the analysis of each piece of the suite, in order to find an appropriate interpretation for a performer.
