羅伯特．舒曼（Robert Schumann, 1810-1856）為浪漫時期最具代表性作曲家之一，其鋼琴作品直到現今仍是於舞台上炙手可熱之演奏會曲目。舒曼受家庭環境影響從小培養出閱讀之興趣，求學階段更是不斷鑽研於文學之間，也造就舒曼音樂作品中富有濃厚的文學內涵。
　　《狂歡節》（Carnaval, op. 9）為舒曼早期的鋼琴作品，共由二十一首個性小品所組成，此樂曲深受文學家尚．保羅（Jean Paul, 1763-1825）作品《年少氣盛》（Flegeljahre）中的一章節〈假面舞會〉（Der Larventanz）影響，並將當時愛人艾妮斯汀（Ernestine von Fricken, 1816-1844）的故鄉―阿許（Asch）地名字母轉換為四個音符成為貫穿全曲的動機，同時還加入了十七世紀義大利喜劇人物與舒曼所創造的大衛同盟（Davidsbündler）等相關人物。
　　本研究共分為六章：第一章「緒論」，闡述研究動機與目的以及研究範圍與方法；第二章「舒曼之生平概述」，簡述舒曼之生平；第三章「《狂歡節》之創作背景與樂曲素材來源」，先從創作背景介紹，進而以多方面的角度深入探討舒曼《狂歡節》作品內容；第四章「樂曲分析」，運用曲式結構、調性、術語與創作手法等剖析各小曲；第五章「樂曲詮釋」，由整體連結性為出發點，進而運用調性以及創作素材等將其分組作為詮釋方向；第六章「結論」。

Robert Schumann is one of the most representative composers in Romantic period. His piano works are still very popular and have been performed at lots of recitals now. Besides, due to the influence from his family, he had been interested in reading and literature since he studied, which makes his works much more literary.
“Carnaval, op. 9” was composed by Schumann in the earlier periods, and contains twenty-one characteristic pieces. This composition was deeply affected by “Der Larventans” in Jean Paul’s “Flegeljahre”. In addition, he used “Asch”, his lover’s hometown, as the four notes motive. At the same time, he added the figures from the Italian commedia dell’Arte and members of “ Davidsbündler” to the composition.
There are six chapters in this research. The first chapter is introduction, including the research motivation, objectives, field and methods. The second chapter describes Schumann’s life in brief. In the third chapter, I will explore the content of the composition from the background and materials. In the fourth chapter, I will analysis this work in melody structures, tones, terms, and methods. In the fifth chapter, based on the overall connectivity, I will use tones and elements of creation to divide this composition into groups to interpret. The final chapter is conclusion.
