摘 要
本研究主要是探討照顧自閉兒的心路歷程,當面臨唯一的兒子被診斷為自閉症時,內心的交戰、自責、面對、調適等過程,怎樣勇敢迎向生命中種種挫折和挑戰?透過自我敘說回顧過去,重新看待自己的人生,更能自我肯定生命意義和價值。本文以質性方法進行,用生命敘說方式呈現,因研究者本身為自閉症者的母親,其特殊經歷亦為一個被研究的對象。透過生命敘說可重新建構和詮釋生命的經驗,亦可在敘說中進行深度的自我探索,為自己兒子發聲以外,更能讓社會大眾對自閉症者的認識與瞭解。研究者依據研究目的,經探討後研究結論為:一、自閉症者具有自我決定之能力,應給予機會以訓練其獨立;二、自閉症之教育與工作有明顯的困難,應提供適合其需求之教育以及適合其能力之職前訓練;三、生命得以成長與改變,藉由社會支持與信仰;以及四、社會大眾對自閉症者的瞭解,才有助於其社會適應。

Abstract
The study was mainly concentrating on a mother’s life experiences of taking care of an autistic child. When my only son was diagnosed to be an autistic child, the fight, self-accusation, face the facts and adjustment in progress. How to bravely confront a variety of frustrations and challenges in my life? To help myself to embrace my soul, by the way of self-narratives. By it, I had chances to review the journal of my life and affirm the meaning and value of my life. The article proceeds in qualitative method and displays via self-narrating life story. As the researcher herself is a mother with an autistic child, my special life process is also to be an objective to be studied. I can re-construct and explain the life experiences via self-narrative, I can take deeply self-exploration to construct the meaning, and also to bring the effect. The effect of the study as follows:1.To offer more opportunities to enhance the ability of independence to autism with self-determinated behavior.2To provide the appropriate education and prior to occupation for autism.3.The growth and changes of life is through the social support and belief.4. More understandings from the people can help them enhance the social accommodation.
