謝爾蓋‧拉赫曼尼諾夫（Sergei Rachmaninoff, 1873-1943）是俄國作曲家與指揮家，同時也是當期最傑出的鋼琴家之一。不同於其他俄國作曲家，他的創作理念承襲柴可夫斯基的精神，成為最後一位二十世紀俄國浪漫樂派的巨擘。因為受到柴可夫斯基、蕭邦以及李斯特的薰陶，使他的創作呈現出個人的音樂語彙，包括抒情的音色、豐富的織度、曲式的獨創性和豐沛有特色的管絃色彩；同時他也創作了相當多的鋼琴改編曲。

本文為《拉赫曼尼諾夫鋼琴改編曲愛之喜之樂曲分析與詮釋探討》，共分為五章。第一章「緒論」闡述研究之動機目的與研究之方法和範圍；第二章「拉赫曼尼諾夫生平及創作風格」，介紹拉赫曼尼諾夫生平及其鋼琴創作特色；第三章「改編曲之概述」，探討改編曲沿革與發展並針對拉赫曼尼諾夫之改編曲作整理；第四章「樂曲分析與詮釋」，著重於曲式和詮釋之探討並和原曲版本作比較；第五章「結論」。

Sergei Rachmaninoff was a Russian composer and conductor. He was one of the finest pianists of his age. No like other Russian composers, Rachmaninoff’s concept of creativity followed the essence of Tachaikovsky. Thus, He was the last greatest Russian late Romanticism in the 20th century. Moreover, because of being influenced by Tachaikovsky, Chopin, and Liszt, soon completed Rachmaninoff to a thoroughly personal idiom, which included a pronounced lyrical quality, expressive breadth, structural ingenuity and a palette of rich with distinctive orchestral colors. As a composer, he also had many piano transcriptions.

The title of this thesis is An Analysis and Interpretation of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Transcription ” Liebesfreud ” in five chapters. The first chapter demonstrates my research motives, purposes and methods. The second chapter focuses on the background, piano compositional style of Rachmaninoff. The third chapter is an overview of transcription and a display of Rachmaninoff’s transcriptions. The fourth chapter is an analysis and interpretation of Liebesfreud and compared to the version of Kreisler. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.
