The purpose of this research is finding the associate with interpersonal relationship and projective drawing among new students in elementary school through drawing performance. The objects are 167 new students of elementary school, 88 boys and 79 girls. This research is quantified by testing through “Life-tree drawing test (put forth by Su Jen-Ming)” and “Behavioral Adjustment to School Questionnaire (BASQ) (put forth by Xu, Mu-Lian,1987)”. There are three purposes of the thesis. 1. To probe the associate with children’s school life and their projective drawings. 2. To establish the test model of associate with projective drawings and school life of first grade elementary school students. 3. Generalizing the analysis principles of drawings that show children adapt to school life or not.
Integrating the documents analysis and testing results, this research brought out the following conclusions and discoveries. 1. Children show different situations when they get into a new study environment. From the result of the research, we can find if they adapt to new environment or not through their A-life tree drawings. 2. To establish the test model and analysis principles of associate with projective drawings and school life of first grade elementary school students. 3. To observe the children that adapt and not adapt the new environment, their life-tree drawings show the different features obviously. These features are separated into five parts that are space, modeling, line type, content and signature respectively. For more detail, we can separate the features into 18 items and sum up to the relationship table with features and school life adapting or not.
