As Ms. Yi-Shu Tang’s creation discourse, this paper is composed of four parts as follows: (1) Introduction: With creation-related motives and purposes to interpret origins of conflicting creation, this study is based on three distinct methods, i.e., self-observation, work analysis, and media experiment & creation practice; (2) Creation-related theoretical foundation: Any conflict expressed by the creator is investigated via maternal space, maternal space creation, and any difference between maternal space and paternal space, and the works with symbolic webs interweaved are to describe both implication displayed in images and relationships between these images thereof; (3) Creation philosophy and practice: By means of creation philosophy, subject matters, and media practice echoing the works, any change or release of the creator’s sentiments during creation can be investigated and discovered; (4) Discussion and prospect: The creator perceives artistic creation contributes to not only transformation of lives but also catharsis of sentiments while retracing the root causes inducing creation in the end of creation research. Among diversified styles in artistic creation, the creator makes use of lines, colors and shapes to symbolize inextricable webs, warnings induced by memory and pressure, and feminine image & mental purification ritual respectively. Based on transformation of sentiments, the works are divided into four series and summarized as man-made corsages by which the creator investigates an individual’s inner implicit space and expresses her indescribable predicament during a course with misgiving or anxiety transferred to sentimental release and conflicts transferred to self-identity or self-promotion. This paper records the creator’s life experience and life course in studying, exploring, perceiving, identifying, and transcending herself from 2005 to 2011.
