Abstract Key words: computer graphics, Wacom Bamboo Pen, traditional painting, traditional paint brush, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, learning attitude
This research attempts to teach Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) students to learn computer graphics through the use of Wacom Bamboo Pen, helping the subjects to blend into visual arts education of ordinary class.
The main purposes are to: (1)Compare whether DMD students using Wacom Bamboo Pen to learn computer graphics differs from using other tools? (2)Discuss the learning attitude of students using Wacom Bamboo Pen to learn computer graphics? (3)Compare the learning attitude of students using Wacom Bamboo Pen as substitution of traditional paint brush?
Methods such as observations, experiments, questionnaires, and interviews are used to conduct this research. The main discoveries include: (1)Among the three computer graphic tools, the subject consideres Wacom Bamboo Pen easiest to use and to depict thought and composition. (2)The subject holds positive attitude toward using Wacom Bamboo Pen to learn computer graphic, likes the courses, and feels satisfied with his own works. (3)Comparison between learning attitudes of computer graphics and traditional materials: the subject like computer graphics courses, and he consider the tools and function of computer graphics versatile and abundant, making it easier for him to depict his thought and composition.
